Narrative:
After clearing runway 35L on taxiway Z, ATC asked us our flight number and where we were going? First officer had wrong communication select button depressed. He could hear ATC, but when he tried to respond, he was on the wrong frequency. After approximately 2 seconds delay, I responded with the carrier name and flight number. The transmission I made must have been blocked. ATC responded to it with 'turn left on taxiway K and taxi to gate.' unfortunately he was talking to another airlines flight which was to our right on taxiway Y. No conflict between aircraft. However, controller was not pleased with our left turn on taxiway K. We discussed with controller that his readback must have been blocked and we assumed it was for us. More patience and radio vigilance should have been practiced by us to make sure we were in fact the aircraft being controled.

Title: A COMMUTER ACFT TAXIES WITHOUT CLRNC FROM GND HOLDING POS AT DFW WHEN HE FOLLOWS TAXI CLRNC ISSUED BY ATC TO ANOTHER ACR ACFT.
Narrative: AFTER CLRING RWY 35L ON TXWY Z, ATC ASKED US OUR FLT NUMBER AND WHERE WE WERE GOING? FO HAD WRONG COM SELECT BUTTON DEPRESSED. HE COULD HEAR ATC, BUT WHEN HE TRIED TO RESPOND, HE WAS ON THE WRONG FREQ. AFTER APPROX 2 SECONDS DELAY, I RESPONDED WITH THE CARRIER NAME AND FLT NUMBER. THE XMISSION I MADE MUST HAVE BEEN BLOCKED. ATC RESPONDED TO IT WITH 'TURN L ON TXWY K AND TAXI TO GATE.' UNFORTUNATELY HE WAS TALKING TO ANOTHER AIRLINES FLT WHICH WAS TO OUR R ON TXWY Y. NO CONFLICT BTWN ACFT. HOWEVER, CTLR WAS NOT PLEASED WITH OUR L TURN ON TXWY K. WE DISCUSSED WITH CTLR THAT HIS READBACK MUST HAVE BEEN BLOCKED AND WE ASSUMED IT WAS FOR US. MORE PATIENCE AND RADIO VIGILANCE SHOULD HAVE BEEN PRACTICED BY US TO MAKE SURE WE WERE IN FACT THE ACFT BEING CTLED.
