Narrative:

On a STAR arrival into dtw the center advised to 'expect spica at 12000 ft.' we delayed our rate of descent due to complacency on a cavu day. Also, we had a discussion going about computers which distracted us from the ATC instruction. Thus, we missed our crossing restr at spica when it was finally assigned to us. In other words, when center said 'cross spica at 12000 ft,' we couldn't get there on time due to our inattention, therefore we missed it by 4 NM.
