Narrative:
Departed runway 36L tpa. Climbing through 8500 ft, #2 engine overheat light came on. Followed emergency procedures, declared emergency, briefed flight attendant. We asked to return to tpa landing on runway 18R. We accomplished all emergency checklists and made an uneventful overweight landing. Emergency equipment was standing by but not needed. A hole in a duct was found causing the overheat.

Title: FLC OF MLG HAS ENG OVERHEAT LIGHT ACTIVATE ON CLB. THEY FOLLOW EMER PROCS AND RETURN LAND OVERWT.
Narrative: DEPARTED RWY 36L TPA. CLBING THROUGH 8500 FT, #2 ENG OVERHEAT LIGHT CAME ON. FOLLOWED EMER PROCS, DECLARED EMER, BRIEFED FLT ATTENDANT. WE ASKED TO RETURN TO TPA LNDG ON RWY 18R. WE ACCOMPLISHED ALL EMER CHKLISTS AND MADE AN UNEVENTFUL OVERWT LNDG. EMER EQUIP WAS STANDING BY BUT NOT NEEDED. A HOLE IN A DUCT WAS FOUND CAUSING THE OVERHEAT.
