Narrative:
I departed pia airport for mli. On climb out, I noticed my left engine getting hot. So I feathered the left engine and returned to pia. After landing, it appears there may have been a cowl plug from my aircraft on the runway. This could have been a factor.

Title: PA23-250 CARGO FLT DEPARTS AND HAS ENG OVERHEAT INDICATION. RETURN LAND IS ACCOMPLISHED.
Narrative: I DEPARTED PIA ARPT FOR MLI. ON CLBOUT, I NOTICED MY L ENG GETTING HOT. SO I FEATHERED THE L ENG AND RETURNED TO PIA. AFTER LNDG, IT APPEARS THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A COWL PLUG FROM MY ACFT ON THE RWY. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A FACTOR.
