Narrative:

Wind calm, 70 degrees F, windsocks hanging down. Monitoring CTAF 122.9 other aircraft reporting using runway 22 as active. On approach with full flaps, gear down, throttle at idle, 85 mph over fence, I flared to land but got caught in ground effects. I was on the ground about half field and elected to use heavy braking instead of going around. Runway 22 is 2650 ft by 40 ft with displaced thresholds. I stopped at the end of the pavement and made my turn onto the taxiway on the grass at the end of the runway. When I parked, 2 men who said they were from the FAA said I smoked my tires on braking and did a ramp check. My tires showed a flat spot on both. Also, I was not carrying my most recent weight and balance. As we stood by my bonanza, another low wing aircraft, a mooney, did exactly the same thing I just did on the same runway 22 and under the same conditions. As the FAA inspectors did a ramp check on him, I heard him say he had 3000 hours and knew the airport well.

Title: BE35 PVT PLT LANDED LONG AND USED HVY BRAKING TO STOP ON RWY. FAA INSPECTORS MET RPTR PLT AND CHKED HIS ACFT. THEY SAW SMOKE FROM HVY BRAKING AND FOUND FLAT SPOTS ON TIRES. ALSO, NO WT AND BAL FORM WAS ON BOARD THE ACFT.

Narrative: WIND CALM, 70 DEGS F, WINDSOCKS HANGING DOWN. MONITORING CTAF 122.9 OTHER ACFT RPTING USING RWY 22 AS ACTIVE. ON APCH WITH FULL FLAPS, GEAR DOWN, THROTTLE AT IDLE, 85 MPH OVER FENCE, I FLARED TO LAND BUT GOT CAUGHT IN GND EFFECTS. I WAS ON THE GND ABOUT HALF FIELD AND ELECTED TO USE HVY BRAKING INSTEAD OF GOING AROUND. RWY 22 IS 2650 FT BY 40 FT WITH DISPLACED THRESHOLDS. I STOPPED AT THE END OF THE PAVEMENT AND MADE MY TURN ONTO THE TXWY ON THE GRASS AT THE END OF THE RWY. WHEN I PARKED, 2 MEN WHO SAID THEY WERE FROM THE FAA SAID I SMOKED MY TIRES ON BRAKING AND DID A RAMP CHK. MY TIRES SHOWED A FLAT SPOT ON BOTH. ALSO, I WAS NOT CARRYING MY MOST RECENT WT AND BAL. AS WE STOOD BY MY BONANZA, ANOTHER LOW WING ACFT, A MOONEY, DID EXACTLY THE SAME THING I JUST DID ON THE SAME RWY 22 AND UNDER THE SAME CONDITIONS. AS THE FAA INSPECTORS DID A RAMP CHK ON HIM, I HEARD HIM SAY HE HAD 3000 HRS AND KNEW THE ARPT WELL.
