Narrative:
From the golf concourse, we were given a taxi clearance to runway 21C via the 'red 1.' from taxiway H I turned momentarily on taxiway F but ground control corrected me and told me to stay on taxiway H which was the 'red 1.' I feel this mistake was caused by the time of day, fatigue, and not having a copy of the taxi description out in front of me. I am completely familiar with the 'red 1' but the first officer was not and I feel that fatigue caused my inability to think clearly and remember the proper route.
