Two computer generated work release items to same item with conflicting priorities, with no parts being sent to station to satisfy in service time requirements. I did not realize it needed a time extension approval for further flight. The extension of time was done during the next day. The open item has been an on going rechk item.

Narrative: TWO COMPUTER GENERATED WORK RELEASE ITEMS TO SAME ITEM WITH CONFLICTING PRIORITIES, WITH NO PARTS BEING SENT TO STATION TO SATISFY IN SVC TIME REQUIREMENTS. I DID NOT REALIZE IT NEEDED A TIME EXTENSION APPROVAL FOR FURTHER FLT. THE EXTENSION OF TIME WAS DONE DURING THE NEXT DAY. THE OPEN ITEM HAS BEEN AN ON GOING RECHK ITEM.
