Narrative:

On vectors for runway 18R in dfw, approach informed us that runway 18R was closed and said to expect runway 17R and call the tower. Before changing frequency, we confirmed runway with approach and then he told us runway 17C. After switching to tower frequency, we were told to continue and be aware of wake turbulence due to departing heavy. After heavy took off we were cleared to land on runway 17C. We inadvertently landed on runway 17R. I think that, due to the last min runway change, and the concern over wake turbulence, we never tuned the navaids for runway 17C. Tower did not mention the incident and I don't know if we were on the proper runway or not. It was our intent to land on runway 17C but the tower may, in fact, have wanted us on runway 17R.

Title: DC9 CREW LANDS ON WRONG RWY AT DFW.

Narrative: ON VECTORS FOR RWY 18R IN DFW, APCH INFORMED US THAT RWY 18R WAS CLOSED AND SAID TO EXPECT RWY 17R AND CALL THE TWR. BEFORE CHANGING FREQ, WE CONFIRMED RWY WITH APCH AND THEN HE TOLD US RWY 17C. AFTER SWITCHING TO TWR FREQ, WE WERE TOLD TO CONTINUE AND BE AWARE OF WAKE TURB DUE TO DEPARTING HVY. AFTER HVY TOOK OFF WE WERE CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 17C. WE INADVERTENTLY LANDED ON RWY 17R. I THINK THAT, DUE TO THE LAST MIN RWY CHANGE, AND THE CONCERN OVER WAKE TURB, WE NEVER TUNED THE NAVAIDS FOR RWY 17C. TWR DID NOT MENTION THE INCIDENT AND I DON'T KNOW IF WE WERE ON THE PROPER RWY OR NOT. IT WAS OUR INTENT TO LAND ON RWY 17C BUT THE TWR MAY, IN FACT, HAVE WANTED US ON RWY 17R.
