Narrative:
When I walked up to first class, I smelled cigarette smoke. At that time the #2 flight attendant was discussing the situation with the captain. Someone had been smoking in the lavatory in first class. What can be done is to make sure the smoke detectors really work in lavatory.

Title: AT CRUISE ON MD80S FLT ATTENDANT SMELLED CIGARETTE SMOKE COMING FROM FIRST CLASS LAVATORY WHERE PAX HAD BEEN. SMOKE DETECTOR INOP IN THAT LAVATORY.
Narrative: WHEN I WALKED UP TO FIRST CLASS, I SMELLED CIGARETTE SMOKE. AT THAT TIME THE #2 FLT ATTENDANT WAS DISCUSSING THE SIT WITH THE CAPT. SOMEONE HAD BEEN SMOKING IN THE LAVATORY IN FIRST CLASS. WHAT CAN BE DONE IS TO MAKE SURE THE SMOKE DETECTORS REALLY WORK IN LAVATORY.
