Narrative:

Passenger showed up early for a flight from chicago midway to calgary, canada. Of course, we rushed to expedite things as the passenger wanted to get going. As we were taxiing out for takeoff we were assigned runway 4R at midway airport. The taxi route took us across both parallel runways, runway 4L&right. I was very busy during the taxi thinking about all the things I still had to change such as customs notification, and ground transportation in calgary. As we were crossing runway 4L the ground controller told us to hold short of runway 4R. I suddenly realized that I did not know if we had ever received clearance to cross runway 4L. Although there was no conflict with any other aircraft I know now to never get in a rush!

Narrative: PAX SHOWED UP EARLY FOR A FLT FROM CHICAGO MIDWAY TO CALGARY, CANADA. OF COURSE, WE RUSHED TO EXPEDITE THINGS AS THE PAX WANTED TO GET GOING. I WAS VERY BUSY DURING THE TAXI THINKING ABOUT ALL THE THINGS I STILL HAD TO CHANGE SUCH AS CUSTOMS NOTIFICATION, AND GND TRANSPORTATION IN CALGARY. AS WE WERE XING RWY 4L THE GND CTLR TOLD US TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 4R. I SUDDENLY REALIZED THAT I DID NOT KNOW IF WE HAD EVER RECEIVED CLRNC TO CROSS RWY 4L. ALTHOUGH THERE WAS NO CONFLICT WITH ANY OTHER ACFT I KNOW NOW TO NEVER GET IN A RUSH!
