Narrative:
On approach into mem on may/xa/98 to runway 18L, the aircraft was fast on the visual approach. I attempted to salvage the approach and landing, which resulted in an increased landing distance. I applied brakes heavily and the aircraft used all of the runway to get stopped. The aircraft was turned around in the stopway and ground control informed us that they saw sparks from the brakes. Emergency services were summoned to inspect the aircraft and found no problems. Inexperience and poor judgement caused this problem.
