Narrative:
Trying to navigation south of dixon on the arrival tracks unable to maintain course. Both ADF needles at times either did not move or were 40-50 degrees in error. ATC gave us vectors to intercept the arrival for fll. An inspection of the cabin revealed 2 laptop computers, 4 clearance delivery players, 4 cassette players, and 1 personal video computer in operation. We still wrote up the ADF and it was placarded after our diversion into mia. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated there was no doubt that the combination of cabin electronic devices and number of devices caused ADF interference and erratic operation. The reporter said the center advised the flight was on course but the ADF system were commanding a left or right 40 degree turn. The reporter said the center gave the flight vectors to fll. The reporter stated the passenger were not requested to turn off the devices because they would only sneak turning on the devices again.

THE RPTR STATED THE PAX WERE NOT REQUESTED TO TURN OFF THE DEVICES BECAUSE THEY WOULD ONLY SNEAK TURNING ON THE DEVICES AGAIN.
