Narrative:
I had a non routine card to service #1 engine constant speed drive. I went to another hangar bay to ask another mechanic if he could show me how to service a constant speed drive on a B727. He showed me the cups I had to take off and where to hook up the servicing line from the servicing cart. He told me where to find the carts to service the equipment. I found the cart, on the metal plate attached to the cart said 'engine oil.' on the cart was also an orange tape on the front that said 'mobile ii engine oil.' so I took the cart to the ramp and svced #1 engine constant speed drive and signed off the paperwork. At XX00 the same mechanic that I had asked assistance from, flagged me down and told me that I had svced the constant speed drive with the wrong oil, because he was going to use the same cart on a DC9 in his hangar. His lead in his hangar phoned maintenance control in ZZZ and told them about the situation.
