Narrative:
B767 brand new copilot inadvertently opened the fuel xfeed while turning on fuel boost pumps. B767 has a push on/off switch for xfeed and no other light or lever. Situation remained unnoticed until an EICAS message appeared showing low fuel on one wing. Aircraft procedures require establishing the same fuel confign as we had so no change made. Normal landing but had a 10000 pound fuel imbalance.
