Narrative:
En route to los angeles, ca, captain is informed by flight attendant of a female passenger that has become unconscious and is now in labor (passenger 8 months pregnant). A registered nurse and a medical school graduate (intern) are attending the pregnant woman. An emergency declared and aircraft diverted to kansas city international airport at maximum speed for safety of pregnant woman. Below 10000 ft the aircraft exceeded 250 KTS due to emergency situation.

Title: A B737-700 AT 10000 FT DECLARED AN EMER AND DIVERTED DUE TO A PAX MEDICAL EMER AND IN DOING SO EXCEEDED THE 250 KT BELOW 10000 FT RULE.
Narrative: ENRTE TO LOS ANGELES, CA, CAPT IS INFORMED BY FLT ATTENDANT OF A FEMALE PAX THAT HAS BECOME UNCONSCIOUS AND IS NOW IN LABOR (PAX 8 MONTHS PREGNANT). A REGISTERED NURSE AND A MEDICAL SCHOOL GRADUATE (INTERN) ARE ATTENDING THE PREGNANT WOMAN. AN EMER DECLARED AND ACFT DIVERTED TO KANSAS CITY INTL ARPT AT MAX SPD FOR SAFETY OF PREGNANT WOMAN.
