Narrative:

The passenger had his own bottle of liquor which we didn't observe until he spilled it and smelled up the cabin. He was told to put it away but was already drunk and confrontational. He would not comply with the landing instructions and went to the bathroom on approach and was yelling and causing a big scene. The #1 flight attendant took his drinks, pushed him into his seat and sat with him until landing. #2 flight attendant in #1 position so all doors were manned by crew. The captain called to have security meet us at gate and passenger was taken into custody. This was the first time I have ever felt my personal safety was at risk. If #1 flight attendant had been a few mins later arriving in aft cabin, I feel #3 flight attendant or I would have been struck by passenger. Passenger sitting close to the drunk passenger told us at the end of the flight they had smelled tequila but didn't inform us of this in-flight.
