Approach control at lax requested approval from ZLA for jump aircraft to occupy 15000 ft. ZLA disapproved request because of traffic climbing to 13000 ft. Approach control may have allowed the jump aircraft to occupy 14000 ft. It is not known if the jumpers were released.

Narrative:
I was working R12 at ZLA, area east. Socal hemet sector called with a request for 15000 ft for jump aircraft. I told them unable jump aircraft because I had a heavy jet on departure from sna climbing to 13000 ft. They climbed the jump aircraft to 14000 ft and said I only disapproved 15000 ft, not climb to 14000 ft.

Title: APCH CTL AT LAX REQUESTED APPROVAL FROM ZLA FOR JUMP ACFT TO OCCUPY 15000 FT. ZLA DISAPPROVED REQUEST BECAUSE OF TFC CLBING TO 13000 FT. APCH CTL MAY HAVE ALLOWED THE JUMP ACFT TO OCCUPY 14000 FT. IT IS NOT KNOWN IF THE JUMPERS WERE RELEASED.
Narrative: I WAS WORKING R12 AT ZLA, AREA E. SOCAL HEMET SECTOR CALLED WITH A REQUEST FOR 15000 FT FOR JUMP ACFT. I TOLD THEM UNABLE JUMP ACFT BECAUSE I HAD A HVY JET ON DEP FROM SNA CLBING TO 13000 FT. THEY CLBED THE JUMP ACFT TO 14000 FT AND SAID I ONLY DISAPPROVED 15000 FT, NOT CLB TO 14000 FT.
