Narrative:
We were on the metropolitan 4 arrival for teb at 8000 ft MSL. Just passed yardley VOR with approximately 10 NM to run to metropolitan intersection. Our clearance from new york approach was to intercept the runway 6 localizer at metropolitan intersection and track it inbound. A king air was approaching to the opposite direction and descending. He was on a VFR flight plan with radar advisory from our controller. The king air was told to level at 8500 ft until advised due to our being underneath him. We were in the bottom of a 8000 ft ceiling with tops at 9000 ft. The deck was broken in our area. We never visually saw the king air. The king air continued his descent. Our TCASII worked as designed -- RA was issued to climb and we did. We reached an altitude of 9200 ft before we were clear. We returned to 8000 ft. The controller was advised of the TCASII climb as we started up. No other aircraft were involved. The equipment worked as designed. The controller couldn't have done anything more. Hopefully, the king air crew will be counseled. No passenger on our aircraft were hurt from the maneuver. We again learned the lesson of always being ready and prepared for the unexpected.

Title: FLC OF FALCON 900EX HAS NMAC WITH A KING AIR ON DSCNT.
Narrative: WE WERE ON THE METRO 4 ARR FOR TEB AT 8000 FT MSL. JUST PASSED YARDLEY VOR WITH APPROX 10 NM TO RUN TO METRO INTXN. OUR CLRNC FROM NEW YORK APCH WAS TO INTERCEPT THE RWY 6 LOC AT METRO INTXN AND TRACK IT INBOUND. A KING AIR WAS APCHING TO THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION AND DSNDING. HE WAS ON A VFR FLT PLAN WITH RADAR ADVISORY FROM OUR CTLR. THE KING AIR WAS TOLD TO LEVEL AT 8500 FT UNTIL ADVISED DUE TO OUR BEING UNDERNEATH HIM. WE WERE IN THE BOTTOM OF A 8000 FT CEILING WITH TOPS AT 9000 FT. THE DECK WAS BROKEN IN OUR AREA. WE NEVER VISUALLY SAW THE KING AIR. THE KING AIR CONTINUED HIS DSCNT. OUR TCASII WORKED AS DESIGNED -- RA WAS ISSUED TO CLB AND WE DID. WE REACHED AN ALT OF 9200 FT BEFORE WE WERE CLR. WE RETURNED TO 8000 FT. THE CTLR WAS ADVISED OF THE TCASII CLB AS WE STARTED UP. NO OTHER ACFT WERE INVOLVED. THE EQUIP WORKED AS DESIGNED. THE CTLR COULDN'T HAVE DONE ANYTHING MORE. HOPEFULLY, THE KING AIR CREW WILL BE COUNSELED. NO PAX ON OUR ACFT WERE HURT FROM THE MANEUVER. WE AGAIN LEARNED THE LESSON OF ALWAYS BEING READY AND PREPARED FOR THE UNEXPECTED.
