Narrative:
Poor WX, numerous delays and a long line for takeoff. We were taken out of sequence to be reclred due to WX on original routing. After resequencing, we were cleared into position and hold on runway 9L. Subsequently cleared for takeoff. Takeoff roll was initiated, power was set and aircraft was accelerating through 50 KTS when a B737 crossed runway 9L approximately 3500 ft from the approach end. Captain aborted takeoff. We stopped well short of the B737. Tower reported the other aircraft did not have permission to cross. They were apparently not on the tower frequency for runway 9L and gave no indication that they saw us.

Title: A B727 ON TKOF HAS TO ABORT AT 50 KTS WHEN ANOTHER ACR B737 CROSSES RWY 9L AT PHL WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative: POOR WX, NUMEROUS DELAYS AND A LONG LINE FOR TKOF. WE WERE TAKEN OUT OF SEQUENCE TO BE RECLRED DUE TO WX ON ORIGINAL ROUTING. AFTER RESEQUENCING, WE WERE CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD ON RWY 9L. SUBSEQUENTLY CLRED FOR TKOF. TKOF ROLL WAS INITIATED, PWR WAS SET AND ACFT WAS ACCELERATING THROUGH 50 KTS WHEN A B737 CROSSED RWY 9L APPROX 3500 FT FROM THE APCH END. CAPT ABORTED TKOF. WE STOPPED WELL SHORT OF THE B737. TWR RPTED THE OTHER ACFT DID NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO CROSS. THEY WERE APPARENTLY NOT ON THE TWR FREQ FOR RWY 9L AND GAVE NO INDICATION THAT THEY SAW US.
