Narrative:

It was a simulated short-field landing over 80 ft obstacle, using silos adjacent to the runway as reference at Y33 maple lake, mn, runway 28 during a multi-engine check ride. It was a 75 KT short field approach. After clearing the obstacle I pulled back on throttle and didn't initiate the flare soon enough resulting in a hard, 3 point landing. I was flying a PA44- 180. There was no evidence of any damage until the preflight to return to mkt. The propeller was damaged: the tip of one of the blades on the right engine was scuffed off. I feel that I was preoccupied with thinking about a previous landing attempt that ended in a go around. I was mad at myself for the errors that led to the go around and not giving my full attention to the task at hand.

Title: PA44 DAMAGES PROP IN HARD LNDG AT Y33.

Narrative: IT WAS A SIMULATED SHORT-FIELD LNDG OVER 80 FT OBSTACLE, USING SILOS ADJACENT TO THE RWY AS REF AT Y33 MAPLE LAKE, MN, RWY 28 DURING A MULTI-ENG CHK RIDE. IT WAS A 75 KT SHORT FIELD APCH. AFTER CLRING THE OBSTACLE I PULLED BACK ON THROTTLE AND DIDN'T INITIATE THE FLARE SOON ENOUGH RESULTING IN A HARD, 3 POINT LNDG. I WAS FLYING A PA44- 180. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF ANY DAMAGE UNTIL THE PREFLT TO RETURN TO MKT. THE PROP WAS DAMAGED: THE TIP OF ONE OF THE BLADES ON THE R ENG WAS SCUFFED OFF. I FEEL THAT I WAS PREOCCUPIED WITH THINKING ABOUT A PREVIOUS LNDG ATTEMPT THAT ENDED IN A GAR. I WAS MAD AT MYSELF FOR THE ERRORS THAT LED TO THE GAR AND NOT GIVING MY FULL ATTN TO THE TASK AT HAND.
