Narrative:
During climb to FL310 at about FL300 the cabin high altitude light came on, called ATC and descended to FL270. System returned to normal. Continued to ord without further problems.

Title: MD80 CREW LOST CTL OF CABIN PRESSURIZATION. THE CABIN ALT WARNING SYS ACTIVATED. THE MASKS WERE NOT DEPLOYED. ACFT DSNDED FROM FL300 TO FL270. CABIN PRESSURIZATION RECOVERED. FLT CONTINUED TO DEST.
