Narrative:

I was flying as PIC checking out a new captain. He was in left seat, I was in right seat. I am a line check airman. I was flying this segment from right seat, autoplt off, flight director off, descending to 5000 ft. I descended approximately 350 ft below assigned altitude of 5000 ft, then climbed back. Contributing factors: fatigue -- last day of trip, early departure. Both pilots in unfamiliar seats, and my election to not use autoflt system available.
