Narrative:

During practice touch and goes my student landed slightly right of centerline. After touchdown and landing roll I had to assist him with stabilizing the plane because of improper use of rudder and crosswind corrections. We drifted further to the right and I had to take over, get the plane stabilized, back on centerline and lined up for our intended takeoff. After being lined up on centerline and ready for power application, we had already used up too much runway and reached about 2/3 of the runway. At this moment I decided to abort the takeoff and called out abort and took over the control of the plane. To prevent damaging the brakes or tires and getting in an unsafe situation because of locked up brakes or blown tires, I applied heavy braking but not to fullest amount possible. Also taking into consideration that we had no obstacle ahead of us. The plane stopped, reaching about 10-12 ft into the overrun area, the tail still partially over the runway. I contacted the tower and informed him about the situation and returned onto the runway and continued with the training after checking for possible damage. No damage was detected.

Title: INSTRUCTOR WITH STUDENT PLT ABOARD DOING PRACTICE TOUCH AND GO LNDGS HAS PROB STABILIZING THE ACFT AND GOES ONTO RWY OVERRUN, BY ABOUT 10-12 FT. NO DAMAGE TO ACFT.

Narrative: DURING PRACTICE TOUCH AND GOES MY STUDENT LANDED SLIGHTLY R OF CTRLINE. AFTER TOUCHDOWN AND LNDG ROLL I HAD TO ASSIST HIM WITH STABILIZING THE PLANE BECAUSE OF IMPROPER USE OF RUDDER AND XWIND CORRECTIONS. WE DRIFTED FURTHER TO THE R AND I HAD TO TAKE OVER, GET THE PLANE STABILIZED, BACK ON CTRLINE AND LINED UP FOR OUR INTENDED TKOF. AFTER BEING LINED UP ON CTRLINE AND READY FOR PWR APPLICATION, WE HAD ALREADY USED UP TOO MUCH RWY AND REACHED ABOUT 2/3 OF THE RWY. AT THIS MOMENT I DECIDED TO ABORT THE TKOF AND CALLED OUT ABORT AND TOOK OVER THE CTL OF THE PLANE. TO PREVENT DAMAGING THE BRAKES OR TIRES AND GETTING IN AN UNSAFE SIT BECAUSE OF LOCKED UP BRAKES OR BLOWN TIRES, I APPLIED HVY BRAKING BUT NOT TO FULLEST AMOUNT POSSIBLE. ALSO TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THAT WE HAD NO OBSTACLE AHEAD OF US. THE PLANE STOPPED, REACHING ABOUT 10-12 FT INTO THE OVERRUN AREA, THE TAIL STILL PARTIALLY OVER THE RWY. I CONTACTED THE TWR AND INFORMED HIM ABOUT THE SIT AND RETURNED ONTO THE RWY AND CONTINUED WITH THE TRAINING AFTER CHKING FOR POSSIBLE DAMAGE. NO DAMAGE WAS DETECTED.
