Narrative:
Landing on runway 5 at I74 grimes field, my plane porpoised after initial contact. I applied slight power but struck the ground with the nosewheel, which collapsed. There followed a propeller strike and a 200 ft slide off the runway. There were no injuries and light damage to the nose skin. There was a 7-10 KT wind from about 350 degrees at touchdown. Possible alternatives: 1) go around -- plenty of time and room to do so. 2) hold power, obtain level flight, flare again. Elected to settle plane after first bounce, causing gear collapse.
