Narrative:
During landing roll on runway 12 at mia, we were instructed to make a left turn off the runway at the end and hold short of runway 9R. We read back instructions. Controller had meant to, or tried to say, turn off at taxiway south and hold short of runway 9R. She never heard our readback correctly and subsequently an aircraft departing on runway 9R had to stop its takeoff. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that they rolled out to the end, across runway 9R, and taxied to the gate. In a phone conversation with the tower supervisor, the reporter was told that they had read back incorrect instructions but it was not caught by the controller. The supervisor stated that an aircraft on runway 9R had just started takeoff roll but was immediately aborted by the controller when it was obvious the reporter's aircraft was not holding short.

Title: ACR ROLLING OUT ON RWY 21. CREW BELIEVED THEY WERE INSTRUCTED TO TURN OFF AT END OF RWY AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 9R. CREW CLAIMS THEY READ BACK THOSE INSTRUCTIONS BUT THE MISTAKE WAS APPARENTLY NOT CAUGHT BY CTLR. AN ACR ON RWY 9R JUST STARTING ITS TKOF ROLL WAS ABORTED.
Narrative: DURING LNDG ROLL ON RWY 12 AT MIA, WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO MAKE A L TURN OFF THE RWY AT THE END AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 9R. WE READ BACK INSTRUCTIONS. CTLR HAD MEANT TO, OR TRIED TO SAY, TURN OFF AT TXWY S AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 9R. SHE NEVER HEARD OUR READBACK CORRECTLY AND SUBSEQUENTLY AN ACFT DEPARTING ON RWY 9R HAD TO STOP ITS TKOF. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THAT THEY ROLLED OUT TO THE END, ACROSS RWY 9R, AND TAXIED TO THE GATE. IN A PHONE CONVERSATION WITH THE TWR SUPVR, THE RPTR WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD READ BACK INCORRECT INSTRUCTIONS BUT IT WAS NOT CAUGHT BY THE CTLR. THE SUPVR STATED THAT AN ACFT ON RWY 9R HAD JUST STARTED TKOF ROLL BUT WAS IMMEDIATELY ABORTED BY THE CTLR WHEN IT WAS OBVIOUS THE RPTR'S ACFT WAS NOT HOLDING SHORT.
