Narrative:
Discovered slow leak in #7 tire (left body gear). Pressure was falling at a rate that, had we continued to our original destination (nrt), we would probably have had zero pressure with the attendant problem of blowout possibility. We diverted into anc to replace the tire. We dumped fuel (75000 pounds) to get to landing weight. The landing was without incident.

Title: B747. CREW NOTED TIRE PRESSURE GOING DOWN. THEY ESTIMATED THAT THE TIRE WOULD BE FLAT AT TIME OF LNDG AT DEST. THEY MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LNDG BEFORE THE TIRE WENT FLAT.
