Narrative:

Departing phl after extensive ground delays, we were cleared for takeoff. When advancing thrust levers we received the takeoff warning horn. We taxied down the runway and proceeded to check the takeoff items. We found the trim slightly out of the green band and flap lever not properly seated in the detent. I think the long delays interrupted our normal scans and flows. Would suggest that when crews face long delays, they rechk the checklist items.

Title: WHEN THE FLC OF A B737-400 ADVANCED THE THROTTLES FOR TKOF, THE TKOF HORN SOUNDED CAUSING THEM TO REJECT TKOF UNTIL THEY SUBSEQUENTLY FOUND AND CORRECTED THE ELEVATOR TRIM SETTING INTO THE GREEN AND RESET THE FLAP CTL BACK INTO ITS DETENT. THE CAPT BELIEVES THAT FLCS SHOULD USE THE BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST WHEN LONG DELAYS OCCUR PRIOR TO TKOF.
