Narrative:
On final approach with the first officer flying, the #3 oil pressure began to flicker. We then noted an oil pressure drop into the yellow band, followed by a loss of oil quantity. We accomplished all the applicable checklists. Due to time constraints, position to touchdown, and lack of needed assistance, I did not declare an emergency. In the interest of safety, I felt it more important to land the aircraft than talk to ATC, since it would be little or no help at this point anyway. We landed uneventfully with the first officer flying and taxied to gate.
