Narrative:

A continuing ramp hazard at dtw. Adjacent to gate is a trash dumpster which is continually overflowing and emitting an incredible stench. The area around the dumpster is strewn with cups, paper, plastic eating utensils. I have reported this extreme FOD hazard for the past 3 months, first through our company and then directly to the dtw operations manager. So far, nothing has been done. I sincerely believe a trash dumpster has no business in the aircraft operations area. Perhaps some word from your organization will succeed in removing this hazard before a loss of an aircraft or life occurs.
