Narrative:
Climb out of dtw flight xyz (air carrier X) dtw-sea. Our flight proceeded from dunks intersection direct bae. Our flight clearance was dunks J70 bae which meant dunks J70 pmm J70 bae -- not dunks direct as I had programmed into the aircraft computer. It was my mistake (captain) and first officer failed to notice flight plan mistake on preflight duties. I feel the main cause of this mistake to be the constant interruptions by flight attendants, gate agents and maintenance personnel during preflight duties! The flight was grossly oversold with many duplicate seat assignments with passenger. The cockpit crew was distraction several times during our preflight duties.
