Narrative:
I was called from first class galley to passenger at seat xxh by flight attendant. Passenger was holding his chest and complained of intense pain in heart. I retrieved automatic emergency defibrillator and applied pads. No shock advised. I paged for an md or rn and immediately, a dr X and an emt responded. The medical professionals requested oxygen and I brought the oxygen. The medical professionals gave the passenger nitroglycerin and they used the stethoscope and blood pressure cuff to monitor the passenger. Dr X determined that we should land at the closest possible airport as the passenger was not improving. After consulting with captain Y, it was determined that we were 30 mins from myrtle beach and over 1 hour to jfk. We then diverted to myrtle beach, and we moved the ill passenger to first class seat xb for landing. The aircraft was met by passenger service and emts. The emt team removed the passenger, and I gave the passenger's passport, ticket and personal belongings to a county police officer. I retained 2 medical kits, 1 first aid kit, the automatic emergency defibrillator, and the emergency medical kit for jfk officials. The plane was refueled and we continued to jfk.
