Narrative:

I was told to report over buildings called storage tech for left base runway 11L. It got busy when I reached this point, so I continued left base runway 11L. I was then told I would be #2 and extend base. I was then told traffic short final runway 11R. I told tower traffic in sight. I turned final runway 11L. On 1/2 mi final, a jet taxied in front of me on active. I told tower going around and they told me sidestep runway 11R, 5000 ft remaining runway. They then told me I was cleared to land runway 11R not runway 11L. In the future, I will read back runway cleared to land on. I wish tower would have told me left base runway 11R, not runway 11L. This would have been more clear.

Title: PLT VFR INBOUND TO BJC ARPT IS INSTRUCTED TO RPT ON BASE FOR RWY 11L. TWR ADVISES TFC ON SHORT FINAL FOR RWY 11R. PLT TURNS FINAL TO RWY 11L, SEES TFC TAXI ONTO THE RWY, AND TWR INSTRUCTS PLT TO SIDESTEP TO THE R RWY.

I TOLD TWR GOING AROUND AND THEY TOLD ME SIDESTEP RWY 11R, 5000 FT REMAINING RWY. THEY THEN TOLD ME I WAS CLRED TO LAND RWY 11R NOT RWY 11L. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL READ BACK RWY CLRED TO LAND ON. I WISH TWR WOULD HAVE TOLD ME L BASE RWY 11R, NOT RWY 11L. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE CLR.
