Narrative:
Aircraft nxyz right engine failed/seized on approach to runway 12 at iad. After the landing gear was selected down, a vibration was noticed by the crew. All other indications were normal. At approximately 300 ft AGL the right engine failed. Executed go around, memory items, QRH and declared an emergency, landed runway 19L. After clearing runway 19L, crash rescue reported that one of the nosewheels appeared flat. After landing, we looked at the engine and tried to move the propeller. The engine was completely seized. Maintenance later said that the rear bearing was shot and they suspected problems in the gear case. The engine was shipped to garrett for analysis. It is unknown at this time why one of the nosewheels was flat. The single engine landing was smooth and the nose was lowered smoothly. (Flaps 20 degrees landing.)

Title: A JETSTREAM 32 ON APCH AT 300 FT AGL DECLARED AN EMER DUE TO #2 ENG FAILURE CAUSED BY A FAILED BEARING IN THE PWR SECTION.
Narrative: ACFT NXYZ R ENG FAILED/SEIZED ON APCH TO RWY 12 AT IAD. AFTER THE LNDG GEAR WAS SELECTED DOWN, A VIBRATION WAS NOTICED BY THE CREW. ALL OTHER INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL. AT APPROX 300 FT AGL THE R ENG FAILED. EXECUTED GAR, MEMORY ITEMS, QRH AND DECLARED AN EMER, LANDED RWY 19L. AFTER CLRING RWY 19L, CRASH RESCUE RPTED THAT ONE OF THE NOSEWHEELS APPEARED FLAT. AFTER LNDG, WE LOOKED AT THE ENG AND TRIED TO MOVE THE PROP. THE ENG WAS COMPLETELY SEIZED. MAINT LATER SAID THAT THE REAR BEARING WAS SHOT AND THEY SUSPECTED PROBS IN THE GEAR CASE. THE ENG WAS SHIPPED TO GARRETT FOR ANALYSIS. IT IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME WHY ONE OF THE NOSEWHEELS WAS FLAT. THE SINGLE ENG LNDG WAS SMOOTH AND THE NOSE WAS LOWERED SMOOTHLY. (FLAPS 20 DEGS LNDG.)
