Narrative:
On aug/xa/98 at about XA00, I landed on runway 14R at george bush intercontinental (iah) houston. When I exited the runway onto the west taxiway, I continued on the taxiway without a clearance. I have landed here on this runway many times. The controller usually keeps me on the tower frequency and tells me to continue to parking as I exit the runway. This time, the controller was busy communicating with other traffic and didn't clear me as I expected. I called the controller for clearance which was granted with no comment about my continuing on the taxiway with no clearance. There was no traffic on the taxiway. The contributing factor to this mistake was my being in a hurry because of my late arrival.

Title: A GA BUSINESS PLT TAXIES ONTO AND DOWN THE W TXWY AFTER LNDG WITHOUT BENEFIT OF A TAXI CLRNC FROM EITHER THE LCL CTLR OR GND CTLR AT IAH, TX.
Narrative: ON AUG/XA/98 AT ABOUT XA00, I LANDED ON RWY 14R AT GEORGE BUSH INTERCONTINENTAL (IAH) HOUSTON. WHEN I EXITED THE RWY ONTO THE W TXWY, I CONTINUED ON THE TXWY WITHOUT A CLRNC. I HAVE LANDED HERE ON THIS RWY MANY TIMES. THE CTLR USUALLY KEEPS ME ON THE TWR FREQ AND TELLS ME TO CONTINUE TO PARKING AS I EXIT THE RWY. THIS TIME, THE CTLR WAS BUSY COMMUNICATING WITH OTHER TFC AND DIDN'T CLR ME AS I EXPECTED. I CALLED THE CTLR FOR CLRNC WHICH WAS GRANTED WITH NO COMMENT ABOUT MY CONTINUING ON THE TXWY WITH NO CLRNC. THERE WAS NO TFC ON THE TXWY. THE CONTRIBUTING FACTOR TO THIS MISTAKE WAS MY BEING IN A HURRY BECAUSE OF MY LATE ARR.
