Narrative:
After departing on the tus 6 from tus to phx sunss arrival and level at our cruising altitude of 14000 ft, we visually saw a high wing, medium size commuter type aircraft flying on a southwest course and climbing up toward our altitude as depicted on the TCASII. We asked ZAB about the traffic, which they acknowledged they had on radar. We shortly received an RA to climb, which we followed as we informed ZAB of our action. Reaching approximately 14400 ft, we leveled and maintained that altitude until the other aircraft passed through and cleared our inbound course to phx. We then informed the center we would descend back down to 14000 ft as the conflict was resolved. At no time did we receive instructions from abq for the avoidance of traffic.

WE THEN INFORMED THE CTR WE WOULD DSND BACK DOWN TO 14000 FT AS THE CONFLICT WAS RESOLVED. AT NO TIME DID WE RECEIVE INSTRUCTIONS FROM ABQ FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF TFC.
