Narrative:
Landed runway 17R, turned onto taxiway B8, told to hold short of runway 17L and acknowledged. Twin cessna taxied north on taxiway B. Taxied across taxiway B to hold short of runway 17L. Tower advised stop. I had crossed hold line, but still normal distance from runway 17L. Concerned with clearing taxiway B. Hold line on taxiway B8 very close to B and much further from runway 17L than normal. When tower advised me to stop, I was already in process of stopping and looking for runway 17L hold line. Did not realize until that point that the hold line I had crossed immediately after crossing taxiway B was runway 17L hold line. I do not believe the hold line should be so far back and should leave adequate room to clear taxiway B.

I HAD CROSSED HOLD LINE, BUT STILL NORMAL DISTANCE FROM RWY 17L. CONCERNED WITH CLRING TXWY B. HOLD LINE ON TXWY B8 VERY CLOSE TO B AND MUCH FURTHER FROM RWY 17L THAN NORMAL. WHEN TWR ADVISED ME TO STOP, I WAS ALREADY IN PROCESS OF STOPPING AND LOOKING FOR RWY 17L HOLD LINE. DID NOT REALIZE UNTIL THAT POINT THAT THE HOLD LINE I HAD CROSSED IMMEDIATELY AFTER XING TXWY B WAS RWY 17L HOLD LINE.
