Narrative:

Air carrier XXX was given a heading by ATC of 345 degrees. The first officer was having a hard time trimming the aircraft. We both got involved and got off course by 5 degrees. ATC asked our heading and it was 340 degrees. We then read back 345 degrees. Once we were established, ATC then had us turn 030 degrees for traffic. No problem was indicated by ATC.
