Narrative:
During cruise flight, #2 engine chip light illuminated. I ensured myself that I had single engine capability, then shut down the engine, declared an emergency with ZZZ tower, and shot a single engine approach to runway 31 at ZZZ. Landed safely without any further problems.

Narrative: DURING CRUISE FLT, #2 ENG CHIP LIGHT ILLUMINATED. I ENSURED MYSELF THAT I HAD SINGLE ENG CAPABILITY, THEN SHUT DOWN THE ENG, DECLARED AN EMER WITH ZZZ TWR, AND SHOT A SINGLE ENG APCH TO RWY 31 AT ZZZ. LANDED SAFELY WITHOUT ANY FURTHER PROBS.
