Narrative:

Cruising at 33000 ft, clear skies, we received an RA to descend, which we did, to 32000 ft. Notified ATC and climbed back to 33000 ft. There was no traffic. Our TCASII was apparently faulty. We turned off TCASII for remainder of flight and notified maintenance. No other aircraft involved.
