Narrative:
In the middle of the meal service, where I was in the first class galley preparing entrees and sending them out to passenger, a main cabin flight attendant rushed up to my galley complaining of a bad smell in the cabin. She rushed up to the cockpit to report this to the cockpit. At that point, I did not notice any abnormal smell in the cabin. However, when the flight attendant came out of the cockpit, I suddenly smelled on overpwring scent of burning/melting electrical equipment. I went up to the cockpit to receive 'test' information because I knew something was seriously wrong. The captain informed me that we would be landing in den in 20 mins and that at that point we were not in an 'emergency status.' he told me to prepare the cabin for a routine landing but to be prepared to evacuate/evacuation if necessary and that he would make an announcement over the loudspeaker if necessary. The captain also made an announcement informing the passenger of the situation. With help of my crew and a deadheading crew, we got the entire cabin picked up and secured and sat in our jump seats for landing in den. We landed with no further incident or injury.

Narrative: IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MEAL SVC, WHERE I WAS IN THE FIRST CLASS GALLEY PREPARING ENTREES AND SENDING THEM OUT TO PAX, A MAIN CABIN FLT ATTENDANT RUSHED UP TO MY GALLEY COMPLAINING OF A BAD SMELL IN THE CABIN. SHE RUSHED UP TO THE COCKPIT TO RPT THIS TO THE COCKPIT. AT THAT POINT, I DID NOT NOTICE ANY ABNORMAL SMELL IN THE CABIN. HOWEVER, WHEN THE FLT ATTENDANT CAME OUT OF THE COCKPIT, I SUDDENLY SMELLED ON OVERPWRING SCENT OF BURNING/MELTING ELECTRICAL EQUIP. I WENT UP TO THE COCKPIT TO RECEIVE 'TEST' INFO BECAUSE I KNEW SOMETHING WAS SERIOUSLY WRONG. THE CAPT INFORMED ME THAT WE WOULD BE LNDG IN DEN IN 20 MINS AND THAT AT THAT POINT WE WERE NOT IN AN 'EMER STATUS.' HE TOLD ME TO PREPARE THE CABIN FOR A ROUTINE LNDG BUT TO BE PREPARED TO EVAC IF NECESSARY AND THAT HE WOULD MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT OVER THE LOUDSPEAKER IF NECESSARY. THE CAPT ALSO MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT INFORMING THE PAX OF THE SIT. WITH HELP OF MY CREW AND A DEADHEADING CREW, WE GOT THE ENTIRE CABIN PICKED UP AND SECURED AND SAT IN OUR JUMP SEATS FOR LNDG IN DEN. WE LANDED WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENT OR INJURY.
