Narrative:

Runway 30 was in use. We practiced ILS runway 12 approach. Student/owner was under the hood. We were instructed to report the LOM inbound. I got so engrossed in my instructions to the student that I forgot to report. We did not report the LOM. Initiated missed approach at 200 ft AGL. Tower remarked we were not cleared for the final approach. I teach a lot in simulators and I think I will need to make a more conscious effort to remind myself that once in-flight 'this is not a simulator.' indeed, it has happened before that I get so engrossed in my instructions to the student, that I forget there is a real world on the other side of the windshield.
