Narrative:

While cleared to fly through class B (slc) sbound, just east of the ochre mountains and west of slc ii airport, control informed me of an aircraft 3 mi at 12 O'clock. I radioed that I had aircraft in sight. Control did same for other aircraft and he, in turn replied same, traffic in sight. The other aircraft, an snj or T6 texan, was doing aerobatic maneuvers and I asked the controller to tell him to 'knock it off' until I passed him. The other aircraft continued to do aerobatics and coming out of a roll, missed me by about 300 ft above me. The pilot could not have seen me as he had restr view in front/below him due to aircraft design. I was only cleared to 6500 ft MSL. I could not turn right due to mountains nor to the left, slc ii. Nor could I descend much more due to terrain, nor climb due to ATC clearance. I asked the ATC controller to give me the n-number for the other aircraft, but he did/would not comply.

Title: AN SMA PLT HAS AN NMAC WITH AN AT6 DOING ACROBATICS IN THE SLC CLASS B AIRSPACE.

Narrative: WHILE CLRED TO FLY THROUGH CLASS B (SLC) SBOUND, JUST E OF THE OCHRE MOUNTAINS AND W OF SLC II ARPT, CTL INFORMED ME OF AN ACFT 3 MI AT 12 O'CLOCK. I RADIOED THAT I HAD ACFT IN SIGHT. CTL DID SAME FOR OTHER ACFT AND HE, IN TURN REPLIED SAME, TFC IN SIGHT. THE OTHER ACFT, AN SNJ OR T6 TEXAN, WAS DOING AEROBATIC MANEUVERS AND I ASKED THE CTLR TO TELL HIM TO 'KNOCK IT OFF' UNTIL I PASSED HIM. THE OTHER ACFT CONTINUED TO DO AEROBATICS AND COMING OUT OF A ROLL, MISSED ME BY ABOUT 300 FT ABOVE ME. THE PLT COULD NOT HAVE SEEN ME AS HE HAD RESTR VIEW IN FRONT/BELOW HIM DUE TO ACFT DESIGN. I WAS ONLY CLRED TO 6500 FT MSL. I COULD NOT TURN R DUE TO MOUNTAINS NOR TO THE L, SLC II. NOR COULD I DSND MUCH MORE DUE TO TERRAIN, NOR CLB DUE TO ATC CLRNC. I ASKED THE ATC CTLR TO GIVE ME THE N-NUMBER FOR THE OTHER ACFT, BUT HE DID/WOULD NOT COMPLY.
