Narrative:
While flying on an IFR flight plan between cleveland burke lakefront and pontiac, I received a clearance to fly 8000 ft direct to windsor VOR, and then outbound from windsor VOR on the 340 degree radial. After about 10 mins of silence on the radio, I switched to the #2 communication and asked for a radio check. The controller said he'd been trying to reach me and gave me a heading change to 030 degrees and down to 4000 ft. I acknowledged and told him that I may have had a problem with one of my radios.
