Narrative:
I was departing a private grass airstrip heading east towards a nearby class C facility. During climb out before turning away from class C airspace, a twin engine aircraft passed above me within 300 ft heading south. He seemed to be blocked from my vision by a wing until directly above. I watched the aircraft continue on to ensure it would no longer be a factor. After focusing back in the cockpit, I noticed my altitude was 1800 ft MSL. I leveled off and turned away from class C airspace. The floor of the nearby airspace was 1600 ft MSL. I may have intruded slightly into the floor of the airspace and outer area before turning away. I was concentrating on the takeoff and climb out and may not have cleared the area sufficiently. The twin was blocked by my high wing until directly overhead. I need to keep a better visual outlook, which may include lifting a wing occasionally to view blocked areas and lowering the nose on climb out to see areas ahead, or doing shallow turns to avoid continuously blocking an area of vision.

Title: A CLBING SMA PENETRATES THE W SECTION OF THE SYR CLASS C AND EXPERIENCES AN NMAC WITH A DEP TWIN ENG ACFT.
Narrative: I WAS DEPARTING A PVT GRASS AIRSTRIP HDG E TOWARDS A NEARBY CLASS C FACILITY. DURING CLBOUT BEFORE TURNING AWAY FROM CLASS C AIRSPACE, A TWIN ENG ACFT PASSED ABOVE ME WITHIN 300 FT HDG S. HE SEEMED TO BE BLOCKED FROM MY VISION BY A WING UNTIL DIRECTLY ABOVE. I WATCHED THE ACFT CONTINUE ON TO ENSURE IT WOULD NO LONGER BE A FACTOR. AFTER FOCUSING BACK IN THE COCKPIT, I NOTICED MY ALT WAS 1800 FT MSL. I LEVELED OFF AND TURNED AWAY FROM CLASS C AIRSPACE. THE FLOOR OF THE NEARBY AIRSPACE WAS 1600 FT MSL. I MAY HAVE INTRUDED SLIGHTLY INTO THE FLOOR OF THE AIRSPACE AND OUTER AREA BEFORE TURNING AWAY. I WAS CONCENTRATING ON THE TKOF AND CLBOUT AND MAY NOT HAVE CLRED THE AREA SUFFICIENTLY. THE TWIN WAS BLOCKED BY MY HIGH WING UNTIL DIRECTLY OVERHEAD. I NEED TO KEEP A BETTER VISUAL OUTLOOK, WHICH MAY INCLUDE LIFTING A WING OCCASIONALLY TO VIEW BLOCKED AREAS AND LOWERING THE NOSE ON CLBOUT TO SEE AREAS AHEAD, OR DOING SHALLOW TURNS TO AVOID CONTINUOUSLY BLOCKING AN AREA OF VISION.
