Narrative:

On parallel visual for runway 28R with a B737 on runway 28L. I had been held at 210 KT speed as long as possible. I waited until last min to configure and couldn't get a green light on the left main. I went around on runway heading, declared an emergency and asked for an altitude and heading free from all of the traffic so that I could figure out the problem. I suspected the gear light had burned out when I pressed it. The paramedic wasn't busy so I asked him to come up and swap the lights while I flew. That's all it was -- a light bulb. I canceled the emergency and landed.

Narrative: ON PARALLEL VISUAL FOR RWY 28R WITH A B737 ON RWY 28L. I HAD BEEN HELD AT 210 KT SPD AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. I WAITED UNTIL LAST MIN TO CONFIGURE AND COULDN'T GET A GREEN LIGHT ON THE L MAIN. I WENT AROUND ON RWY HDG, DECLARED AN EMER AND ASKED FOR AN ALT AND HDG FREE FROM ALL OF THE TFC SO THAT I COULD FIGURE OUT THE PROB. I SUSPECTED THE GEAR LIGHT HAD BURNED OUT WHEN I PRESSED IT. THE PARAMEDIC WASN'T BUSY SO I ASKED HIM TO COME UP AND SWAP THE LIGHTS WHILE I FLEW. THAT'S ALL IT WAS -- A LIGHT BULB. I CANCELED THE EMER AND LANDED.
