Narrative:

Upon takeoff, a bird hit the engine (right side) causing its malfunction and our inability to climb to level altitude properly. The captain informed us immediately that we would be returning to jfk, making an emergency landing in 7-9 mins. We dumped fuel, and landed without any incident. The captain and the rest of the cockpit crew did a magnificent job of informing everyone and landing without any occurrence. The flight crew took their appropriate door position and properly assured all passenger. I personally felt very proud of all my training at air carrier X. Supplemental information from acn 418607: in the air a total of 9 mins. The cockpit crew as well as the cabin crew did an outstanding job. Turns out that the aircraft ingested a goose into engine #3 on liftoff. Supplemental information from acn 418700: I smelled burning, confirmed it with flight attendant #7 at L2. We then notified cockpit, remained in jump seat until we heard captain's information. Passenger were calm, no action needed.
