Narrative:
Landed on runway 22L jfk upon clearing runway was given taxi clearance to hold short of runway 22R. In the taxi process missed a taxiway (did not intrude on runway 22R) and was instructed to use taxiway G and still hold short of runway 22R. We turned onto taxiway G and held short of runway 22R then was chastised for being in the GS critical area. Understood the clearance to be, use taxiway G and hold short of runway 22L, not use taxiway G but hold short of taxiway G. The first officer read back the clearance when reissued and ATC did not correct. Supplemental information from acn 420024: after landing on runway 22L and clearing, tower told us to taxi on taxiway 'Z' and hold short of runway 22R on taxiway 'G.' taxiway 'G' has 2 entrances (see diagram). The captain missed the first entrance, as he was about to turn in on the second, the controller said 'continue on taxiway Y and hold short of taxiway F.' we then taxied to taxiway F and held short of runway 22R at taxiway F. He then said 'I told you to hold short of taxiway F, you're now in the ILS critical area, expedite across runway 22R traffic is on a 5 mi final.' taxiway F is not marked as 'ILS holding' on my commercial chart. When the controller gave us the second clearance, he should have made it very clear that his intentions were for us to hold short of taxiway 'F.' the words 'at' and 'of' are hard to discern over the radio.

Title: ACR DC9 FLC GIVEN DETAILED JFK TAXI INSTRUCTIONS. PIC MISSED FIRST TXWY AND WAS GIVEN ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS. PIC INADVERTENTLY TAXIES INTO ILS CRITICAL AREA AND IS CHASTISED BY GND CTLR.
Narrative: LANDED ON RWY 22L JFK UPON CLRING RWY WAS GIVEN TAXI CLRNC TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22R. IN THE TAXI PROCESS MISSED A TXWY (DID NOT INTRUDE ON RWY 22R) AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO USE TXWY G AND STILL HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22R. WE TURNED ONTO TXWY G AND HELD SHORT OF RWY 22R THEN WAS CHASTISED FOR BEING IN THE GS CRITICAL AREA. UNDERSTOOD THE CLRNC TO BE, USE TXWY G AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22L, NOT USE TXWY G BUT HOLD SHORT OF TXWY G. THE FO READ BACK THE CLRNC WHEN REISSUED AND ATC DID NOT CORRECT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 420024: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 22L AND CLRING, TWR TOLD US TO TAXI ON TXWY 'Z' AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22R ON TXWY 'G.' TXWY 'G' HAS 2 ENTRANCES (SEE DIAGRAM). THE CAPT MISSED THE FIRST ENTRANCE, AS HE WAS ABOUT TO TURN IN ON THE SECOND, THE CTLR SAID 'CONTINUE ON TXWY Y AND HOLD SHORT OF TXWY F.' WE THEN TAXIED TO TXWY F AND HELD SHORT OF RWY 22R AT TXWY F. HE THEN SAID 'I TOLD YOU TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY F, YOU'RE NOW IN THE ILS CRITICAL AREA, EXPEDITE ACROSS RWY 22R TFC IS ON A 5 MI FINAL.' TXWY F IS NOT MARKED AS 'ILS HOLDING' ON MY COMMERCIAL CHART. WHEN THE CTLR GAVE US THE SECOND CLRNC, HE SHOULD HAVE MADE IT VERY CLR THAT HIS INTENTIONS WERE FOR US TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY 'F.' THE WORDS 'AT' AND 'OF' ARE HARD TO DISCERN OVER THE RADIO.
