Narrative:
After the cockpit gave us 2 bells for final approach, we cleared the cabin for landing and stowed all the items in the galley. I was sitting on the aft jump seat removing my apron and in-flight shoes when all of a sudden we landed. Neither myself nor flight attendant B heard the 'be seated' announcement from the cockpit. I was supposed to be seated in the ironing board jump seat.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FLT ATTENDANT RPT REGARDING A LNDG WITH FLT ATTENDANT NOT IN CORRECT SEAT, BUT STILL CHANGING SHOES AND REMOVING APRON. THIS WAS DUE TO NO 'BE SEATED' ANNOUNCEMENT. ACFT IS AN MD80.
