Narrative:
After landing runway 27R at dtw, lost left hydraulic quantity. Unable to get left engine out of reverse. Cleared runway 27R at taxiway V2 and parked between taxiway B and taxiway C concourses. Called company maintenance to request a tow in to gate. Started APU, shut down both engines (per maintenance ok) and was towed to gate. Left quantity was 0.16 RF. Hydraulics ok prior to touchdown. Failure came at or shortly after reverse deployment.callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the hydraulic failure was isolated to the left engine. The reporter said when the aircraft was towed to the gate and parked a large hydraulic fluid puddle formed under the left engine and the mechanics were opening the cowling to investigate. The reporter stated the exact component that failed was not reported by maintenance.

Title: A B757-200 ON LNDG ROLLOUT WITH REVERSERS DEPLOYED LOST THE L HYD SYS PRESSURE AND QUANTITY CAUSED BY A L ENG HYD COMPONENT.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG RWY 27R AT DTW, LOST L HYD QUANTITY. UNABLE TO GET L ENG OUT OF REVERSE. CLRED RWY 27R AT TXWY V2 AND PARKED BTWN TXWY B AND TXWY C CONCOURSES. CALLED COMPANY MAINT TO REQUEST A TOW IN TO GATE. STARTED APU, SHUT DOWN BOTH ENGS (PER MAINT OK) AND WAS TOWED TO GATE. L QUANTITY WAS 0.16 RF. HYDS OK PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN. FAILURE CAME AT OR SHORTLY AFTER REVERSE DEPLOYMENT.CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE HYD FAILURE WAS ISOLATED TO THE L ENG. THE RPTR SAID WHEN THE ACFT WAS TOWED TO THE GATE AND PARKED A LARGE HYD FLUID PUDDLE FORMED UNDER THE L ENG AND THE MECHS WERE OPENING THE COWLING TO INVESTIGATE. THE RPTR STATED THE EXACT COMPONENT THAT FAILED WAS NOT RPTED BY MAINT.
