Narrative:
On vectors for approach to sbd runway 6 by socal approach, cleared for approach about 8 NM out from airport (runway in sight). Told to contact unicom. Gave TA to unicom 3 times and returned to approach as instructed. Socal advised of traffic at 10 O'clock, 2 mi at 2600 ft (GS intercept altitude). Shortly thereafter, he advised we were merging with target. TCASII gave a 'descend now' at which time I descended and broke to right. Light aircraft observed off our left and slightly above looked like he took no action. Did a 360 degree turn at 700 ft AGL and landed.

GAVE TA TO UNICOM 3 TIMES AND RETURNED TO APCH AS INSTRUCTED. SOCAL ADVISED OF TFC AT 10 O'CLOCK, 2 MI AT 2600 FT (GS INTERCEPT ALT). SHORTLY THEREAFTER, HE ADVISED WE WERE MERGING WITH TARGET. TCASII GAVE A 'DSND NOW' AT WHICH TIME I DSNDED AND BROKE TO R. LIGHT ACFT OBSERVED OFF OUR L AND SLIGHTLY ABOVE LOOKED LIKE HE TOOK NO ACTION. DID A 360 DEG TURN AT 700 FT AGL AND LANDED.
